Ok, I've disabled product ratings and modified my templates to not use it, and now everything is working. I also deleted all the .pyc files, completely removed site-packages/satchmo and reinstalled, recopied the template folder (satchmo_copy_templates), so I'm not exactly sure which one fixed it, though I think it was the removal of ratings and the comments issues.
