Hi geezer,
I haven't found any.
As a satchmo noob i've just started reading the docs from the svn
release.
1. Get the demo store working:
http://www.satchmoproject.com/docs/svn/new_installation.html
2. Once you have the demo site working starting at the "Product" page
of the docs and following the manual from there.

sort. ie not afraid to look at the code.
That being the case. I have found that by getting the demo site
working and visually mapping the urls in the location bar of my
browser to the corresponding code to have given me a kick start to
answering your initial question about how everything maps together.
Any one else got any suggestions on getting started with satchmo?
