Is there a way to detect the language that a user has selected (or
defaulted to)?

Here's my problem. I'm using flatpages for static data, but I have it
in two languages, a flatpage per language. I need to have language
appropriate links in the footer, but I'm not sure how to do it? I was
thinking of adding a {% if shop.options.LANGUAGE.selectedLanguage ==
'en' %} type block. Not very flexible but it'll do the trick.

Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks,
Sam
