Ok, after some digging it is indeed my fault. But if anyone else hits this problem here is why...
on OSX when you build the python imaging library from source it apparently does not install a jpg encoder by default. I followed this post to rebuild PIL to properly encode the JPG's which sorl-thumbnail was generating. http://nmariz.estadias.com/archives/51 sorl-thumbnail was generating dummy jpg images instead of actual thumbnails and then erroring on the template when trying to display the bad dummy jpg's. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Satchmo users" group.
