Thank you all so much for all your response. I have finally installed satchmo using Dan's method. As I have earlier said in my thread (given below), I am willing to spend an hour daily for documentation for Satchmo. I wish more people comment on the thread and come forward to help in this need-of-the-hour documentation work.
