I'm using memcache...

In my vhost.conf I've added:

PythonImport /var/django-projects/mysite/cache_file.py store
SetEnv PYTHON_EGG_CACHE /var/django-projects/store/cache_director

In my local_settings.py I have:

CACHE_BACKEND = "memcached://store.sweetiesandgangsters.net:11211/"
