Oddly enough mine seems to have fixed itself. I did upgrade django to
1.02 recently so that might have made some difference. I also haven't
added any new products in a while. (Actually I just added one and
tried adding it to my cart etc with no issues)

I'm interested to hear if that patch makes a difference for you,
