I'm not sure if this is the best way to report this, but I was having trouble getting a custom payment module enabled today. It wasn't showing up in store settings in the Enable Payment Modules list. The module is external, so I had it in my INSTALLED_APPS as well as in SATCHMO_SETTINGS[CUSTOM_PAYMENT_MODULE]. In the end I'm not exactly sure what my problem was (might have been the update I did from trunk). However, I found the documentation on the Satchmo Web site to be confusing.
The Custom Payment Modules documentation seems to imply that CUSTOM_PAYMENT_MODULES is a standalone variable in settings.py, whereas it should be specified inside SATCHMO_SETTINGS.
