Incidentally -- I did find this: http://code.google.com/p/python-payflowpro/

Which after browsing the source seems to be ready for the September 1st
changes at PayPal.  I would hope that I could leverage this in such a
solution, but now I have to read  up on the creation of my own payment
module.  The docs seem to be there for it so we'll see how it goes.

I'll have to checkout satchmo again and do some testing outside of my
current clients project because I don't want to taint the current satchmo
source code.
