Hi again, In this particular customer's storefront, they make heavy use of the custom text field as found here, in the admin panel: Home › Product › Custom Products
The problem is this. Each customizable product has a different max text length, and they want to enforce this max length. The solution is to add a maxlength field to the product_customtextfield table, then to all of the templates, and the admin template as well. Is there a better way? I am new to Satchmo, and I'm not sure if this field, and other custom fields can be added/configured during an installation/configuration step instead of doing this manually. If there is no better way, do you want my patch once I apply this manual fix? It sounds like something useful and innocuous (as long as a default length exists), which could be integrated into the core product. Thanks again!
