Ah, it was a settings problem. I needed to go to /settings/ and select "Custom Order" under Product Settings.
Now i'm getting the detail_customproduct.html template called. I do think there is a need to be more consistent in the documentation about what to call this kind of product. Product Settings clearly shows this as "Custom Order", while http://www.satchmoproject.com/docs/svn/product.html uses "Custom Product". This group uses "custom product" mostly to refer to a custom product class. thanks, --derek On Oct 27, 11:57 am, philosophe <[email protected]> wrote: > OK, now I'm talking about a Satchmo "custom product", not a custom > product class that inherits from Product. > > I have a custom product in admin, listed in "Custom products" as > "CustomProduct: My Custom Product"; the slug is "cozybit-custom- > product". > > When I go to the detail page for this custom product, /shop/product/my- > custom-product/, my customized *product.html* is getting applied, not > my customized *detail_customproduct.html* template. > > my local templates are structured thusly: > \my_app > \templates > \product > - product.html > - detail_customproduct.html > - detail_configurableproduct.html > > With a properly set up configurable product, I get that template > called for the detail page; why am I not getting > detail_customproduct.html for the custom product? > > thanks, > --derek --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Satchmo users" group.
