Hi all, I've just migrated a satchmo site to a new server, and for several hours my apache process was spiking to 100% cpu and memory - I spent a long time trying to work out what was wrong, made several optimisations and finally came to the conclusion that it was the thumbnail generation that was using up all my resources - once all the thumbnails were generated, the site started rendering really fast.
Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone else strikes the same sort of problem - but it did surprise me that generating the thumbnails was such an issue.
