We are investigating customizing the checkout process for one of our
clients. Basically, I think the goal is to copy the Amazon checkout
process as much as possible. I am looking for some feedback on the
best way to accomplish the following changes (should this be a custom
payment module? Should I do the replace_url thing?)

The goal is to split the current checkout process over more views. It
looks like Amazon has:
a login view
shipping address view (where you can pick from past addresses or make
a new one)
shipping method view
payment method view (where you can pick from past billing addresses or
make a new one)
confirmation

Currently I think satchmo combines login/shipping address and shipping/
payment. What is the best way to go about splitting those out? I'll
need to do some customization of those view logic also, to set up the
different address functionality.

Any ideas? I'd be happy to contribute the code back into Satchmo once
it is done if anyone wants it.
