Hi All, I have already developed a complete site from scratch in python served out of Zope2, and I am now at the point where portability is an issue. If I want to sell shop setups on shared hosting I'm screwed since Zope is a pretty big app server compared to Django. So Django and Satchmo are my obvious choices. I'm just checking on the one thing that made write my own in the first place, per item shipping addresses for a gift basket site. My client's site is has a multi-ship feature that I wrote and will need to reproduce in Satchmo. Is there anything in the current feature set, that can be used in this way, or something close enough to hit with a hammer instead of an axe? I will develop it regardless but I would like to reduce the curve as I am not experienced with either Django or Satchmo. They are very different paradigms to what I have been doing.
I have a demo site setup as http://scarletgrove.com if anyone wants to see how a multi-ship basket looks. Just add something to the basket and click on "Multiple shipping addresses." at the top of the basket. You can complete an order and use a fake card number on this demo if you like, just don't expect the gift to actually ship! :) Criticism and ideas moving forward in Satchmo are welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Richard Shebora
