I'm running a test setup on my local machine, with the store running
at IP address 127.0.0.1:8000 . The machine is not configured to be a
web server at all.
I've created some downloadable products and I'm trying to test the
download mechanism. Everything appears to work fine, but I don't
actually get the downloaded file. I get a file with the correct name,
the name of the file that I supplied when I created the downloadable
product, but the file is always empty. (Oddly, Firefox always reports
that it has downloaded a file of the correct length!)
Is downloading set up to work locally in this situation at all? Or
will I need to wait to finish testing downloading until I deploy my
store on an actual web server?
Or is something else wrong?
