I made an error in the above. The second shipping method appears in the order, however the Shipping Cost and Total in the order are equal to those from the first shipping method. For example, if I order 3 items totalling $30.00, then choose Express satchel as the first shipping choice costing $11.70, and choose Platinum satchel as my second choice costing $16.30, the Product Order on the /admin/shop/ order/[order number]/ page reads in part: Shipping Description: Platinum Express satchel Subtotal: $30 Shipping Cost: $16.30 Total: $41.70 The customer also receives information that the total order is $41.70 (items + first shipping choice amount), rather than $46.30 (items + second shipping choice amount).
