I apologize if this has already been discussed, as I was unable to find it. In the event that it hasn't been discussed yet, yay me!
I naturally can't find definitive proof of this, (though there is loose mention of it here: http://usa.visa.com/merchants/payment_technologies/gift_card.html#anchor_6) but my boss tells me that there is a requirement coming due, she thought, later this year, which requires that all merchants that accept Visa (and Visa gift cards) must allow the payee to split the transaction between multiple sources. (Consider that they may have a Visa gift card for $10, and a purchase of $50. They would put $10 on the gift card and the remaining $40 would be paid from a different source.) Is there currently support in Satchmo for such nonsense? If not, are there plans for it? Thanks!
