The shop app I'm looking at building will have two parts; regular shop for
12 months of the year, and during the 'in season' will offer equipment for
hire. Here I have very specific requirements from the client as to
workflow when selecting items to hire. Essentially it involves a custom
'wizard' that walks the purchaser through a number of options (size, style,
options etc) before dumping the item in the cart. The other wrinkle is
that it hasn't been decided yet if customers will be allowed to add shop
items with hire gear in the same basket. Not sure if that's going to cause
an issue.

How much of satchmo would need to be ripped apart to implement such a
workflow? Would I be better off looking at alternative solutions? I don't
really want to get too far down the track and discover I have to start
again.

Thanks.
