I am happy to join the Satchmo group - and thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts. I am with Canada Post Corporation and I have been speaking with Chris Motiff and he indicated that I post my thoughts about building extensions for our shipping solutions so they can be used by the merchants to enable eCommerce. As some of you may know Canada Post launched a number of shipping solutions www.canadapost.ca/webservices in early 2012 designed to support all business/merchants in Canada and North America so they can take advantage of the unique shipping solutions that only we are able to provide as a public organization. These web services are free to use and have been used by several thousand merchants and players in ecommerce ecosystem to grow business. I here by request the Satchmo community to build and make available extensions that will enable any merchants to take advantage of our shipping solutions. In return Canada Post (among other things) will recognize the community on its solution providers directory that is aimed at providing greater visibility to groups such as yours.
