I know there are some people interested in XOs on this list, so... >From the SeaXO folks:
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Chris Altwegg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 2:59 PM Subject: Seattle XO news To: Chris Altwegg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hello, fellow XO owners and fans: We apologize for the silence. The Seattle XO user group has been quiet for a very long time. This is because of two reasons: 1. There hasn't been much news regarding the XO project in a while. The organization seems to be in transition and not all the dust has settled. We're still waiting for an OS update that we can have confidence in. (If you upgrade to the current release (8.2.0) you will loose any saved data and 3rd party installed programs. http://tinyurl.com/6grd7o) 2. Things have changed with us three founders: Tim is now living across Puget Sound, Wayne has started a new job with lots of travel, and Chris is busy with some projects that don't leave much XO time. We'd like to see if there are folks out there who would like to take over the XO blogspot and registration database and be responsible for putting on meetings once in a while. We'd be happy to help out as we can to ensure a good hand-off. When we set up the group, we made sure that it would easy to administer, and we'll make sure you get full instructions and support for the database and blogspot. If you're interested, write us back, we'll gather the responses and see what we can put together. Thanks for your patience. We all still believe in the concept of making affordable computing available to the world.
