Hi Mike!

Needing to achieve a "professional look" is the barrier that stops nearly
all podcasters.  So, I suggest you "be bold" and start doing one yourself
right now this afternoon.  Don't let lack of "correct" equipment or
software stop you, and don't require committee approval.  The important
thing is to eliminate all excuses, actually shoot video, and actually post
it online.  Once that's happening, improvements can be added to later
shows (or not.)  Remember that Burning Man was just one guy down at the
beach setting his furniture on fire.  Once a single person starts, others
will hop on board.

Traffic on my semi-monthly videos is around 250K views/day total for the
whole collection, and that's for "boring" science education which doesn't
tend to attract a huge fan base.  It's all done with a $100 used
point-shoot pocket camera w/mpeg.  If I needed a professional look, a good
camera & sw, and an organized group of people, I wouldn't have posted the
first one.  Content is king, those three things are gigantic barriers, so
try doing the opposite intentionally
