When I put together the Startup Weekend event and sent out the emails announcing the event I put my phone number in the emails.
My cell phone number now has enough Google page rank juice on it, that when you search google maps for 'Google Seattle' my cell phone number appears as the phone number for Google's Fremont office. (Got a call from a guy looking for human resources this morning...). This of course led me to thinking about other companies that don't publish their phone numbers and the fun you could have.... For 5 bucks a month, I can setup a 1800 number with twilio that will redirect to any number of my choosing. There is technically nothing preventing me from publishing the 'unofficial' amazon/ barnes and nobel/ etc customer service number all over the internet and sending those calls to say Borders.... Or for that matter out phone number page ranking my competitor and sending all of those phone numbers to say the better business bureau... With more and more people not using phone books.... You could have a *LOT* of fun. -Rob --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Website: http://saturdayhouse.org/ Post: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
