Original Submission:
A Savannah user mentioned he would like to see <<a global "send me no email"
feature>>. This could be done quickly using a bit of JavaScript to uncheck all
boxes, or using a global notification switch.

Cf. https://savannah.gnu.org/support/?func=detailitem&item_id=103545

Incidentally the user was afraid of 120 boxes to uncheck, but it happens
Savanah is showing each notification Role twice.. I have to sort this out.

"Last, I saw that all lines from trackers_notification_role were duplicated..."

Someone should look into that issue -if it happens with a fresh install.

I think the JavaScript was already discussed with Elfyn on savane-dev: avoid it
if not necessary, but add it if it can prove useful. For example, a JavaScript
to (de)select all, or toggle all checkboxes (useful in webmails when to delete
everything but a few messages).

I am sorry about the noise, btw. The user was certainly subscribed to a ML or
present in the notification adresses list indeed. The feature still can be
useful, abeilt not urgent.

Last, I saw that all lines from trackers_notification_role were duplicated in
Savannah. The only difference was that some fields descriptions used "bug"
instead of "item". Maybe that comes from when we upgrade to Savane, I don't
know.

I would say to your user that theoretically, he will not get any mail as long
as he does not send comments to items. So the notifications he receive should
end pretty soon.
Unless he is registered on a mailing-list to which one savane is configured to
send notifications.
There is no other reason why he would receive notification.

To be more specific, I really like to avoid any javascript entering the code. I
think we can usually avoid it with means that will always work with any
browser, including with browser with javascript set to off.

In this case, we could easily image two more checkbox that would be "send me
notificatiopns in all these cases", "never send me notifications".
