Follow-up Comment #4, bugs #1961 (project savane):
Try adding
onclick="this.style.display = 'none';"
to the <h3> tag with notification. Not sure about how well this is portable,
but Firefox and Konqueror are fine with it. I believe W3C has nothing to do
with Javascript, at least they don't mention it on their homepage.
