Follow-up Comment #1, bug #2189 (project savane):

"Do you think it is possible to scramble the Originator Email field in the
trackers when the user is not logged in?

This would apply to both the field value and the field history."

Frankly, no, I'm not in favor of this approach. From the start, I was
reluctant to recommand the usage of this damned originator email field because
I was sure it was opening the door to a bunch of exceptions.

The code is already dense, making it even more complex just to enhance an
ultra deprecated usage (non-logged users are a pain in the ass; Yes i'm not
logged but I'm not submitting an item right now) is a no go.

If people wants to take the benefits of Savane, they can just as well starting
to use it. Spending time and making the code harder to read just in favor of
people that do not use seriously the stuff is not a good thing in my opinion.
Improving the stuff for people that really use it matters most.

It's not like if it was very complicated and time consuming to open an account
and be logged in. There are many benefits in doing so.

Mathieu, not logged in.
