Update of bug #1808 (project savane):
Status: Postponed => Wont Fix

Follow-up Comment #7:
My personal stance is that a report should be either dealth with in the year
or be closed. If it's not a problem within the year, it means it poses no
fundamental problem and that nobody felt necessary or no one thought is was
ok to fix it.
In this case, this bug exists only for user of non-packaged version of Savane
and we cannot really fix it in Savane. It has to be fixed outside. There would
be a point in having this item open if there was actually distro supporting
locales in /usr/local and that savane was still not handling it.
(Also, the report can be easily found with the search tool)
I sincerely think that we should keep open item only practical items, the one
that really point out something that _must_ be fixed or will likely be fixed.
It does not means it is pointless to report issue like this one. It allows us
to discuss the plus and minus and to decide what to do.
In this case, it's clearly a wontfix, because fixing it would mean breaking
things. But indeed, we'll reopen this item if someday it's possible to fix
it without breaking things and if we find it really create problems. Agreed?
