Mathieu answered another post about authentication system, stating
that we ought to use PAM for PHP, if we need additional authentication
support. That sounds pretty good :)

Problem is: the simple PAM library we use does not involve sending
"Location:" HTTP headers: it assumes the user can provide the
credentials directly.

That is, it doesn't assume it has to use a system similar to Savane's
"brother site" double-authentication method, where the user is
redirected to a website where ther user already registered cookies,
website that will redirect him to the original website.

Maybe the other PAM PHP bindings (the complete and complex one), in
addition to an OpenID PAM module, would permit to achieve OpenID
support while staying in a common authentication scheme.

Or maybe we'd have to add an independant authentication method just
for OpenID.
