Follow-up Comment #14, task #2874 (project savane):

I've just read the MediaWiki syntax again. We provide almost identical
formatting tags, and I think this is a good approach, considering that those
tags are used for the wikipedia, which is as far as I know the biggest wiki
installation. Therefore, many people are probably already familiar with that
markup.

That brings me to the question if we should change the only markup that's
currently different from wikipedia.

We use *strong* and /em/ markup, but have recently discussed to better double
those marking characters, so we would use **strong** and __em__ markup.

I propose to switch to the wikipedia syntax and use '''strong''' and ''em''
instead.
