It seems that if you complete a project registration, and once the
entry in the database is created, you can access all frontend based at
http://*sitename*/projects/*projectshortname* regradless of status. I
noticed this when doing project approvals on Savannah, and I tested it
there. I was able to post items to all the trackers, and I could access
most of the admin pages on this dummy project. I briefly looking into
fixing this, but I thought it would be better to get suggestions.
