/**************************************************************************/ [bugs #212] Latest Modifications: Changes by: Mathieu Roy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 'Date: mar 07.09.2004 à 19:41 (Europe/Paris) What | Removed | Added --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution | None | Wont Fix Assigned to | None | yeupou Status | Open | Closed ------------------ Additional Follow-up Comments ---------------------------- This could be an addition to comments but I'm finally reluctant to add this as special field. If a project need these information, they can configure the tracker. Sure, it won't be automatically filled. But few projects need such information -- the support tracker of the localadmin project, yes, but apart from that? /**************************************************************************/ [bugs #212] Full Item Snapshot: URL: <http://gna.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=212> Project: Savane Submitted by: Mathieu Roy On: sam 31.01.2004 à 03:29 Category: Web Frontend Severity: 2 - Ordinary Priority: A - Later Resolution: Wont Fix Privacy: Public Assigned to: yeupou Status: Closed Release: Planned Release: Summary: no browser information automatically added Original Submission: Original Submission: The bug tracker, which is now the system used for every trackers, miss the ability to automatically save User-Agent, for initial submission AND comments. As a matter of fact, I frequently had a clue of the problem of a user submitting a support request by checking is UA (for instance, CVS problems with MacOS, SSL problems with MSIE). It provides useful additional information automatically, without being to intrusive (anybody can forge his UA), so I think it is something that really need to be introduced. It must be trivial change but must be done in clever way (not addition of crap ontop of existing crap).
