Hello all,

I got some time tonight and I've managed to make savannah work partially on my
system.
I've created the first #101 user and made it a sysadmin.
I lost some time because I'm on apache2, and I skipped the mailman config and
this basically messed up the whole conf. Anyway I got it working and looked
at different files to restore a working conf so that's positive ! :-)

I cannot find anywhere the homepage-update.pl script Mathieu talked about ...
I've installed savannah through an archive, not from cvs so I guess it could
have been in cvs. I looked at cvsview on gna and it isn't...
So where is located this script ?

I've got a few questions about savannah.
- It looks like I need to be root to perform some operations : is it
mandatory ?
- has anybody thought of a way to automate the install process via an
install.php script (like templeet or spip) ?

I understand configuring mailmain and a chrooted cvs need to be done as root.
But what about /etc/savannah/* files ?
Basically, I'm quite reticent to launch scripts as root. I'd prefer having a
dedicated user containing all that's needed (sv_*.pl scripts) and reverting
to using root only in scarce situations (updating the sys conf)
I guess this has been previously discussed elsewhere and there is good reason
for it (perhaps even historical reason), sorry for the noise.

Kind regards

David
