Hi everyone,

I wanted to know what you think about running some regexes over
project submission's descriptions in order to try to guess
if the submitter has included an URL to a tarball in the description.

It shouldn't be hard to write a few regexes which can do that, and if
there is no sign of a tarball detected, warn the user in the last step of
the registration. Using something like red, huge fonts might be a good idea
there.

However, this shouldn't keep users from submitting projects without an URL
included,
but rather make them aware that there is need for an URL to a tarball when
registering a
project.

This might be Savannah specific, but I do believe that other Savane-based
systems have similar
policies on adding new projects.

So, what do you think about this?

Regards,

Stephan
