Cheers to all the developers and members of the Savane rewrite! I've never been a big fan of PHP (no offense to PHP lovers) and I'm thrilled that Python is the language of choice for the rewrite. I've had minimal experience with Django but I look forward to flexing my Python again to start massaging the new Savane code.
I'm a Software Configuration Manager by trade for FOSS on GNU/Linux. Since about 1998 I've been working on a variety of GNU/Linux systems wtih CVS, SVN and git for source, Savane and a variety of build and release tools. I prefer LaTeX and Texinfo for my documentation and pretty much stick to the GNU standards for both code and licensing. I'm not really a programmer but you'll find me hacking code here and there to fit my needs. I'm still working on getting our Development group to use Savane... going on four years now! Wish me luck for the next four.
