I believe I did understand you. The first step of the Python rewrite should be to recreate the abilities of the PHP Savane such that it is easier to migrate. I agree, and I had the suggestion that it might help to use the ForgePlucker to migrate projects instead of writing an own migration code, as this might save some work plus it would ensure interoperability with ForgePlucker.
