Summary: LDAP users do not authenticate on Windows 7 in a SAMBA domain Project: Savane Submitted by: firak Submitted on: Thursday 03/04/2010 at 14:04 Category: Installation/Configuration Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: _______________________________________________________ Details: Hi. I'm definitely a newbe, and I give you the info I have on my problem. In a NAS network I have NFS filesystem and SAMBA going. For authentication I have LDAP - users and groups. My LDAP users logs on W2k, WinWP-Pro, and Linux boxes with no problem. I have some Win7 boxes attached to the network. I've done some regedit to attach the boxes to the network. The Win7 boxes are on the TUX-NET. On those boxes my users can't log on. In the LDAP-navigation data I can see the a Win7 box as: uid=R8XPRP6$,ou=Machines,dc=my,dc=domain. The Attributs looks similar to a WinXP box. Is it anything more to configure on the LDAP side??
