Since some new directories were created which did not exist before, you should 
use the '-d' flag for the cvs update command (this will create the new 
directories in your sand box), i.e.

        $> cvs update -d -r DEV_2003-09-05_CERN

There will be some more changes during this month, but they will not be major 
changes. Since the data base structure has changed a little, it makes sense 
to use the branch version or you will need to migrate your old database once 
the branch version is made the trunk version. We will provide scripts to 
assist with that (since we have to do the migration, too), but there is no 
need to go through this procedure unnecessarily.
