=================== BUG #2709: FULL BUG SNAPSHOT =================== http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailbug&bug_id=2709&group_id=11
Submitted by: alexl Project: Savannah Submitted on: Mon 03/03/03 at 18:44 Category: Wishlist Severity: 5 - Average Priority: None Bug Group: None Resolution: None Assigned to: None Status: Open Effort: 0.00 Summary: Add option to display one line slug in News archive page Original Submission: I would like to add an option to the "News" page, so that the first line of the news item would appear underneath the title, so that it would look identical to the information found on the "Main" project page. For example when I see the main front page of my project, Swarm: http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/swarm I get the "News" bar, with the title and a one-line slug: Latest News Mac OS X port gepr - Fri 02/28/03 at 09:49 - 0 messages Binaries to build Swarm models on MacOS X 10.2.x are now available on the Swarm web site: http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/swarm/macosx.pkg But when I view the "News" page: http://savannah.nongnu.org/news/?group=swarm that is reduced to the title: "Mac OS X port" I would like to add an option so that the same one-line as appears on the main project page would appear on the "News" page. This would enable me to direct our non-developer users to the News page and have more information than is currently there, without the extra "developer" column (bug tracking, support, CVS etc.) which is distracting for non-developers. Of course, by default, this option would be off.
