Last time I talked to Tim Perdue (lead SourceForge author)
after he left VA Software, he was considering re-writing the whole
thing using Java. He was considering using proprietary libraries and
we never quite agreed on this.
Don't know if Tim ever published something. Maybe worth sending
him a probe mail ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).
