"This license shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts therein." (see http://gplv3.fsf.org/wiki/index.php/Compatible_licenses#Common_reasons_for_incompatibility) It would probably be good for this project to initiate a conversation with [EMAIL PROTECTED] to get their license compatible with the GNU GPL. Nice catch. -- Sylvain On Wed, Dec 13, 2006 at 01:24:14PM +0100, Stephan Peijnik wrote: > Hi fellow hackers, > > I've stumbled accross a project submission which confuses me a bit. > > The submission in question can be found at > https://savannah.gnu.org/task/?6171. > > Now, if I understood the license they want to use correctly it is not a > 'default' > 3-clause BSD license and seems to actually raise a few issues. > Clauses #0 seems fine, while #1 and #2 do worry me. > > So, what do you think about it? > > Regards, > > Stephan
