(switching to -public :)) Maybe there never was a host file there? 'download' and 'internal' don't have one either. I used replicated 127.0.0.1->localhost on all vservers just in case.
Another thing: I set the vserver 'nodename' (aka hostname), I think a month or two ago, to be able to determine what vserver is sending cron mails. Previously it was 'savannah', now it's frontend. This doesn't explain the 'localhost' issue though. Or maybe something changed at the GNU DNS (maybe they served 'localhost' at a point, who known). -- Sylvain On Sat, Jun 02, 2007 at 09:38:13AM +0200, Stephan Peijnik wrote: > Does anyone know what happened to /etc/hosts in the "savannah" vserver? > > I recreated it, adding only an entry for "localhost". > > Regards, > > Stephan > > ----- Forwarded message from Henri Lesourd <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- > > Envelope-to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Delivery-date: Sat, 02 Jun 2007 03:20:55 -0400 > X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.1.0 (2005-09-13) on monty-python > X-Spam-Level: > X-Spam-Status: No, score=0.0 required=5.0 tests=UNPARSEABLE_RELAY > autolearn=failed version=3.1.0 > From: Henri Lesourd <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > X-Enigmail-Version: 0.76.5.0 > X-Enigmail-Supports: pgp-inline, pgp-mime > X-DCC-sonic.net-Metrics: telist > X-AntiVirus: checked by AntiVir Milter (version: 1.1.3-1; AVE: 7.4.0.29; > VDF: 6.38.1.218; host: AntiVir2) > X-detected-kernel: IRIX 6.5.12-6.5.21 (2) > X-detected-kernel: Linux 2.6, seldom 2.4 (older, 4) > X-Mailman-Approved-At: Sat, 02 Jun 2007 03:19:44 -0400 > Cc: > Subject: [Savannah-help-public] Savannah documentation [broken links] > X-BeenThere: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 > Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > List-Id: "Use https://savannah.gnu.org/support/?group=administration" > <savannah-hackers.gnu.org> > List-Unsubscribe: <http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers>, > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > List-Archive: <http://lists.gnu.org/pipermail/savannah-hackers> > List-Post: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > List-Help: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > List-Subscribe: <http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers>, > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > X-detected-kernel: Linux 2.6, seldom 2.4 (older, 4) > > Hi, I just started my project on Savannah, this is a great tool. > > I observed that there are broken links for some (important) parts of the > documentation, I had to go to google to find them ;-(... > > > 1.
