Hi, Revamping the intro text is a good idea, I was recently thinking about it ;)
> * The audience here is people who want to host their projects at Savannah, > or > hack on projects, not so much people looking for software to use. People also come to the homepage to understand what the heck "nongnu.org" is about :) > * I think it should aim to be very simple I agree, this could be shorter. > * Credit for the image can be given in another way, elsewhere. This is a good example of what we teach people: properly citing sources and licenses. (by contrast, I didn't find where that picture is credited at fsf.org) Also, one of our main goals is providing a state-of-the-art hosting platform running on 100% free software. We only use free software to run Savannah, and we share the Savane code (which is also AGPL3). This is essentially the origin of Savannah: http://www.fsfeurope.org/news/2001/article2001-10-20-01.en.html -- Sylvain
