FYI, I dumped the forum table (only about 1350 rows = replies to news posts, throughout savannah) select * from savane.forum into outfile '/root/archive/forum-dump'; and eyeballed the entries. I deleted the most recent ~300, until I got back to one that was legitimate (off the certi project).
There is still plenty of junk before that, but there is also a decent percentage of real replies (sigh). I don't feel like carefully reading and individually deleting every single entry, so I guess I'll let it go at this. If anyone else wants to be persnickety about deleting the spams, feel free.
