Did this now from a laptop on my home network, where I'm quite sure there are no timeouts ;-) Guess what? "bzr branch" died after 3601 seconds. So I'm now sure there's some 1-hour timeout somewhere on savannah. This was with bzr:// URL, not with nosmart+bzr://, btw.
