Hello,

[continuing an off-list discussion]

Attached is a draft shell script to monitor and log disk-usage on
'vcs.sv.gnu.org'.

The output will look like this:
===
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      128746416       /
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      16980636        /web
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      29782780        /sources
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      7505632 /srv/svn
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      3121104 /srv/bzr
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      17686544        /srv/git
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      782112  /srv/hg
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      22916376        /var/log
vcs.savannah.gnu.org    2015-01-25      21213136        /root
===

The script renices itself to 19 + ionice idle.
It takes about 50 minutes to scan the entire root drive,
and about an hour to scan the other directories.

Once finalized, we can add it to cron on 'vcs' - perhaps schedule it to run
every other day?

Comments are welcomed,
 - Assaf
