Just an fyi... I sync'd the file attachments from the old to the new. There were a dozen new file attachments since the last sync. I forgot to do this with the latest flip to the new server
frontend:/var/lib/savane/trackers_attachments# rsync -av /var/lib/savane/trackers_attachments/ frontend0:/var/lib/savane/trackers_attachments/ In the future we should migrate that directory to shared storage. The information about those files is in the shared database already. In any future move or scale-out this would avoid the need for sync'ing. Thank you for reporting this. It is an untied shoelace. This part of the web interface was forgotten to be sync'd in the recent part of the migration. The web stores attachments locally. That needs to change but hasn't changed yet. Therefore those files need to be sync'd over. Have been before. But the most recent attachments were not sync'd in the latest flip-flop to the new machine. I sync'd them again now. It should work now. And hopefully we aren't moving things back. Therefore this should be the last sync ever needed. However I think this situation should be improved by using shared storage instead of local storage for that. (This is a problem typical on many web frameworks. Wordpress has the same issue on wordpress systems for example and that is the most popular blogging infrastructure on the planet.) Thank you again for reporting this. In the future it is better if you send this to the [email protected] mailing list so that anyone of the team can look at the problem.
