The point I was trying to make is that someone, intentionally or not, is
doing something that doesn't make sense, and maybe it's possible to stop
them doing it rather than cleaning up after they do it. Obviously they
are well past the point where cloning the entire repo would be better
than whatever they are trying to do with cgit.
