Thanks a lot for reporting the issue.
Binary files were corrupted during the UTF-8 conversion of the database.
I replaced old files from the backup I made at that time.
I checked the files you mentioned and they now correcly untar. Please post a
comment if you find another file that you think was impacted by this.
I also checked for other kinds of binary data in the database, and didn't
find any other, so the issue should be fixed now.
