Details:
Hi,
For years, bug-gnu-gettext at gnu dot org has been a mail alias
(created on mescaline.gnu.org long ago) that redirected mail
to 1. bug-gnu-utils and 2. me (Bruno Haible).
For a few days now, mails sent to bug-gnu-gettext receive a
delivery failure like this:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
(generated from [EMAIL PROTECTED])
SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT TO:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
host mail.gnu.org [199.232.76.166]: 550 unknown user
No need to spend time fixing the old situation. Instead, could
you please simultaneously
1) Set up a bug-gettext mailing list belonging to the
http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/gettext project, including a
public archive area on lists.gnu.org. ("bug-gettext", not
"bug-gnu-gettext", in order to follow the common pattern for
mailing list names.)
2) Remove the mailing list alias for bug-gnu-gettext (I cannot do
that since I don't have rlogin access to GNU machines any more),
3) Make bug-gnu-gettext a mail alias for bug-gettext.
Thanks!
Bruno
