SVN has a pretty inconvenient behavior here :(
Anyway I implemented a work-around; only web crawlers are redirected to the
canonical svn.savannah.gnu.org URL (to avoid multiple crawls with different
URLs).
SVN can use whatever URL was specified in the documentation.
