Details:
The Savannah git repository of GNU patch has a server-side check which
rejects non-fast-forward updates. I can see why this check exists for the
master branch, but it makes far less sense for most other branches like
"testing", which I'm using for things which are not stable, yet. (I do know
about the consequences of rebasing.)

! [rejected] testing -> testing (non-fast-forward)
Could the non-fast-forward check please be disabled, at least for the
non-master branches?
